Nan'an Nandu Mountain Tieguanyin
Trademark Owner: Yingdu Rural Professional Technology Association, Nan'an City
Nan'an, located in Quanzhou, is classified as a subtropical monsoon climate zone, with mild, rainy weather and abundant sunlight throughout the year. The tea plantations of Nan'an Nandu Mountain Tieguanyin are primarily situated on high mountains around 1,000 meters above sea level, where mist and clouds are frequent. The soil is deep and rich in organic matter, predominantly acidic red soil, with high levels of manganese, zinc, and other essential minerals.
Nan'an Nandu Mountain Tieguanyin is a traditional, strong-scented variety of Tieguanyin, known for its intense aroma and natural flavor. The tea leaves are shaped like green beans, rolled into tight, rounded, or semi-spherical forms. The leaves are robust, uniform, and dark green with a glossy sheen and red spots. When brewed, the tea liquor is golden or orange-yellow, with a fragrant, rich aroma that lingers. The floral scent is prominent, resembling an orchid in a remote valley, commonly referred to locally as "Qinghua flavor." The tea can be steeped seven to eight times without losing color or fragrance. The taste is smooth, rich, and slightly mellow, with a refreshing sweetness and a honey-like aftertaste. The tea leaves are soft, bright, and glossy, with a yellow-green edge, sharp, deep serrations, and a "parrot beak" shape.
