Quanzhou has placed strong emphasis on improving and regulating women-led demonstration bases. Since 2022, the city has established one national-level and ten provincial-level modern agricultural women’s demonstration bases, encouraging female science and technology experts to partner with these bases in offering technical guidance and targeted assistance to rural communities.

　　Empowering Women through E-commerce

　　To support the growth of female entrepreneurship, Quanzhou has launched nearly 180 livestream training sessions with almost 10,000 participants. More than 100 women-led e-commerce events have been held to promote local agricultural products, scenic spots, and rural homestays, effectively using digital platforms to tell the story of Quanzhou’s rural revitalisation and boost local incomes.

　　Creating Beautiful Courtyards, Building Beautiful Villages

　　Quanzhou continues to promote the creation of “Beautiful Courtyards,” with 4,000 city-level model courtyards and 3,024 provincial-level entries nominated. The movement highlights the leading role of rural households and promotes the “Beautiful Courtyard Plus” model—integrating environmental stewardship with community participation.

　　Women’s federations at all levels have mobilised volunteer teams to lead over 3,000 environmental clean-up and river protection campaigns, involving 35,000 participants, demonstrating how individual courtyard improvements contribute to the collective beauty of the countryside.

　　A Growing Network of Demonstration Bases

　　As of now, Quanzhou is home to 50 provincial-level women’s demonstration bases, reflecting the city’s sustained commitment to gender-inclusive rural revitalisation.

　　Supporting Mothers in Entrepreneurship

　　On August 8, 2023, the Women’s Federation of Shishi City hosted a “Mothers’ Employment and Entrepreneurship” livestream training session at the Wuyun Network Technology Co., Ltd. The two-day-one-night workshop attracted over 40 mothers, providing flexible career pathways through digital skills development.

　　The Quanzhou Women’s Federation organises a women’s entrepreneurship fair to showcase local products and promote female-led rural revitalisation.
