Quanzhou, 29 September — The 23rd China Green Food Expo, themed "Green Food · Boosting Consumption," recently concluded in Yinchuan, Ningxia. During the event, products from the "Jinjiang Seaweed" series—such as those from Ayibo Foods and Sanyuan Foods—made a strong impression. These offerings showcased the innovative results of Quanzhou's modern fishery-brand building to nationwide buyers and became a highlight in the aquatic-product section of the expo.
The Green Food Expo this year featured 34 national delegations and more than 2,300 enterprises, with thousands of premium "green" agricultural or food products on display. Fujian Province's contribution, under the theme "Blessed Mountains, Blessed Waters, Blessed Farmers' Premium Products," included two major display areas (a comprehensive zone and an organic-food zone). The province sent 125 companies with nearly 1,000 "blessed-farmer premium products," spanning categories such as tea, fruit, edible mushrooms, poultry & eggs, and seafood.
According to reports, the provincially-certified "Blessed-Farmer Premium Product" "Jinjiang Seaweed" is one of the province's top ten regional public brands, and it holds over 70% of the national market share for processed "tan zicai" (flat-sheet seaweed). In recent years, Quanzhou has drawn on its rich marine-resource endowment and fishery-industry foundation to vigorously implement a fishery-brand strategy. In 2024, the city's fishery output value reached RMB 17.255 billion.
