The Zan Hua Banquet is a unique culinary and cultural brand developed in Fengze District, blending historical traditions with modern gastronomy. Inspired by the Song-Yuan era Maritime Silk Road, it showcases Xunpu's distinctive coastal heritage. The banquet experience integrates traditional cooking techniques, folklore, and historical narratives, carefully woven into the menu, restaurant ambiance, service, and themed events, offering an immersive dining experience that both preserves and innovates local traditions.
The launch event aims to position the Zan Hua Banquet as a cultural and gastronomic landmark, merging Xunpu's floral hairpin traditions with Fengze's culinary heritage. By establishing the banquet as a symbol of both flavor and cultural significance, the initiative aspires to enhance Quanzhou's visibility on the global culinary stage.
Moving forward, Fengze District plans to strengthen policy support, talent development, and promotional efforts to expand the banquet's influence. Collaboration with domestic and international culinary institutions and cultural organizations will bring advanced techniques and global perspectives to enrich the brand. Events such as international food festivals and cultural tourism expos will further increase market presence, introducing the Zan Hua Banquet to a broader audience.
At the event, organizers also unveiled the "Three Stars of Fortune – Welcoming a Prosperous Year of the Snake"art installation, a collaboration between Fengze State-Owned Investment Group and Peak Group. The installation features three symbolic characters:
Shou Xing "Bin Zai"--Representing longevity and peace
Fu Xing "Xun Bao"--Symbolizing prosperity and floral blessings
Lu Xing "A Xin"--Denoting good fortune and wealth
These figures will be showcased at Nan Shaolin Wenwu Square, Quanzhou Central Business District, and Xunpu Village, offering visitors a festive cultural experience for the Lunar New Year.
